Christoff
Raath – CEO, Consulting Actuary
B Com (Hons), FASSA
Christoff is a consulting actuary at the Health
Monitor Company. After lecturing at the University of Pretoria,
he joined the company at its inception, tasked with the practical
application of the sophisticated stochastic computer models developed
by the company for the healthcare environment.
In 2007 Christoff was appointed as CEO.

Henri
Gonin – Actuary
B Com (Hons), FASSA
Henri is an actuary at the Health Monitor Company,
responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Health
Monitor computer model and its adaptation to other applications.
Prior to joining the company, Henri was a part-time time lecturer at
the University
of Pretoria
while employed at Momentum.

Matthew
Myers - Consulting Actuary
B Sc, FASSA
Matthew joined the Health Monitor Company in 2005 as a
senior actuarial consultant in the field of HIV and AIDS and has
gradually become involved in healthcare consulting of a more general
nature. He studied actuarial science at the University of the Witwatersrand and started his career at
Alexander Forbes Financial Services in the pension funds’
actuarial and consulting departments.
Matthew is responsible for day to day operations at the company.

Julius
Pistorius - Database Manager
N DIP IT (Communication Networks)
Julius joined Health Monitor in 2007 as a database
manager responsible for day-to-day IT maintenance. Julius
completed his studies at Tshwane University of Technology (formerly
known as Pretoria Technikon) in 2004. Prior to his appointment
Julius was employed as a consultant at Proscan Systems dealing with
the development and implementation of handheld computer systems.

Alex
Maloka –Actuarial Consultant
B Sc (Actuarial and financial
mathematics)
Alex graduated from the University of Pretoria in
2006. He started is career at Hannover Life Reinsurance in the
corporate actuarial department and joined the Health Monitor Company
in 2007. Alex is currently completing his honours in
mathematics of finance and is also a student of the Institute of
Actuaries.

Anneke
van Onselen
B Sc (Hons) Business Mathematics
and Informatics – Quantitative Risk Management
Anneke graduated from the North West University
(Potchefstroom campus) in 2006. She started her career at Ernst &
Young as a Data Analyst and joined the Health Monitor Company in
2007.
